This stunning blue bubble and copper fishies design candle plate comes with a free glass candle holder and tealight.  As the diameter of the candle plate is approximately 14 cm it could also be used for a medium sized pillar candle. The candle plate is made from Bullseye Tekta Clear Glass with Copper Oxide Powder sandwiched inbetween the two layers of Tekta Clear Glass. The Copper Oxide is a black powder before firing but the heat of the kiln transforms this to the wonderful vibrant blue colour you see in the picture complete with an amazing array of various sized bubbles.  It is impossible therefore to create two identical dishes due to the fact that the Copper Oxide Powder is sprinkled randomly over the Tekta Clear Glass and this then creates the unique bubble patterns. Also depending on the texture of the copper foil when it is cut ie if it remains smooth after firing it will keep its red coppery colour but if crinkled a little will turn an amazing shade of blue – sometimes of course you will get a combination of both blue and red.
